3 years after promising it for Wii, Shiguru Miyamoto yesterday tantalisingly mentioned Pikmin 3 would instead be launched on Nintendo’s forthcoming Wii U console. Eagerly awaited by those lucky enough to have experienced the first two installments, the game will presumably make use of the Wii U’s upgraded capabilities and new super spangly controller to greater effect than would have been possible on the original Wii. Here’s hoping they manage to get it out in time for launch. Whether or not the console is going to be a success, it deserves the best chance possible, and getting Pikmin 3 ready for launch would be a priority if we here at Games Catalyst had anything to say on the matter. Which, of course, we don’t (sniff).
