Somehow the launch of OnLive has somehow sneaked up on us, we can’t help but think if Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo were bringing out a new concept console streaming all its content from the magical cloud server in the sky there would be a bit more of  a hoo-hah, but that isn’t the case and so the ambitious piece of kit has come in somewhat under the radar.

Well, no longer, with the announcement that OnLive will debut in the UK on 22 September, whereby we’ll find out once and for all whether the technology actually does what is promises — that’s without the lag and interference which made the whole thing feel like so kind of hoax vapourware for so long.
