It’s just two weeks until wannabe Master Chiefs will be able to relive the sci-fi epic that defined FPS on console. To get everyone in the right frame of mind, 343 Industries have released a nostalgic campaign trailer today that brings fans back to the beginning of the iconic adventure and sets the stage for Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary’s arrival.
“Halo: Anniversary is a token of gratitude to our fans for the incredible passion and dedication they’ve shown for the franchise over the past ten years,” said Dan Ayoub, executive producer of publishing at 343 Industries. “We’ve poured all our passion and energy into making Halo: Anniversary a truly faithful remake of the original classic, and we can’t wait to join the fans online and commemorate ten years of historic gaming together on 15th November.”
New features include cooperative play over Xbox LIVE, six re-imagined multiplayer maps and one new Firefight mission, a ‘Classic’ graphics mode, achievements, Kinect and 3-D support, and new challenges and story to uncover. Players who preorder will gain access to the Master Chief Avatar Armour and the exclusive ‘Grunt Funeral’ skull, which causes the series’ most lovable enemy to explode in a blaze of plasma when killed.
