No sooner have we received one Resident Evil, 3DS exclusive Resident Evil Revelations (review to follow next week) than another shambling horror lumbers into view.

We don’t even have to wait the usual 2+ years from announcement to release (hello Resident Evil 4) as a date is already firmly enshrined: expect the game to be in your hands in 10 short months, 20 November to be exact for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC (interestingly no mention of the Wii U).

“From the outset the team’s intention was to create an experience that delivers a gripping storyline, tense single-player and co-op action all set against a constant theme of horror,” said Executive Producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi. We are calling this fusion dramatic horror and are confident it will resonate with both existing fans of the series as well as newcomers.”

What we know so far is it’s set ten years since the Raccoon City incident (that’s Resident Evil 2 for those not in the loop) and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity.

Due to be by the President’s side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision.

At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member, Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world’s population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left.

So there you go, a Resident Evil first as Leon and Chris finally get together. Here’s the teaser:
