Bethesda have released a first developer diary for The Elder Scrolls Online, franchises’ first outing into the realm of the MMORPG.

Introducing the basics of the game, the diary sees Game Director, Matt Firor and Creative Director, Paul Sage wax lyrical on what makes their game that little bit different from all the other MMO games out there.

Based 1,000 years before Skyrim, Elder Scrolls Online will allow you to explore every inch of the world as you discover areas and events only referred to in the likes of Morrowind and Skyrim.

Needless to say, with hundreds of characters on screen at any one time and huge siege like battles to look forward to, next year should be an exciting time for fans of both Elder Scrolls and online RPGs.
